Forest succession trajectories after fires in valleys and on slopes in the Greater Khingan Mountains, China

چکیده
Abstract Accurate assessment of postfire vegetation recovery is important for forest management and the conservation species diversity. Topography an factor affecting but whether composition varies with different stages between valleys slopes unclear. Using field data a space-for-time substitution method, we quantified richness diversity to obtain successional trajectories slopes. We surveyed 10 burned areas from 1986 2010 in Greater Khingan Mountains northeastern China, found that increasing time, both gradually decreased. However, was relatively higher. Shrubs recovered rapidly valleys, maximized approximately 11 years after fire. it 17–18 fire on Numerous shade-tolerant were present not until 18 Larch appeared earlier than its slow quickly established dominance early. Our study provides some new insights into succession at local scales. After fire, processes differ topography affects initial rate stages.

Forest Dynamics and Their Phenological Response to Climate Warming in the Khingan Mountains, Northeastern China
The Khingan Mountain region, the most important and typical natural foci of tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) in China, is the largest and northernmost forest area and the one more sensitive to climate change. Taking this region as the study area, we investigated the spatio-temporal dynamics of deciduous broadleaf forest (DBF) and its phenology changes in relation to climate change and elevation. B...
متن کاملNon-invasive determination of the immune physiological state of reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) in the Greater Khingan Mountains, China.
Immunoglobulin and cortisol levels are good indicators of well-being and living status in animals. In this study, the concentrations of fecal immunoglobulins A ([IgAF]), G ([IgGF]), and M ([IgMF]), and cortisol ([cortisolF]) were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in reindeer of the Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia, China. [IgAF] was significantly higher than [IgGF] and [I...
متن کاملEnvironmental Influences on Forest Fire Regime in the Greater Hinggan Mountains, Northeast China
Fires are the major disturbances in the Greater Hinggan Mountains, the only boreal forest in Northeast China. A comprehensive understanding of the fire regimes and influencing environmental parameters driving them from small to large fires is critical for effective forest fire prevention and management. Assisted with satellite imagery, topographic data, and climatic records in this region, this...

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...
